All you need to do is ask yourself is it worth 1GSP, a consumable, the Nth sub par war horn or cockpit item, or paltry amounts of CBills/MC/GXP?
Maybe one of the people defending SoupQ will invite you to group up with them so you can join them in their fun. Challenge accepted??
that's the point here; I don't care _at all_ for the lootstuff, I got all I need in spades (well, could always use more easteregg-urbies and urbie-warhorns, but hey..).
what I "need" is to have a relaxing match of mwo, and they don't serve these anymore since event has everybody gone braindead (blunt, but true).

I haven't been able to get in more than a couple matches a day recently. Most of the matches I do play seem to be very one sided. I see a lot of Hide and Peek, Hide and wait for your team to soften them up, Nascar in groups of three or four into enemy firing lines. I would wear my headset and try to coach but I get salty and I'm afraid I'll yell at people instead.
It's been painful. It feels like power creep has reached it's pinnacle. TTK is the lowest I've seen. This is all anecdotal and maybe your experience is different but this is what I'm seeing.

That's only a problem if you wait for the team to engage to shield for you. Ignore your team. Drop in something that can hold it's own and put out some solid damage and it doesn't matter what your team does. You'll still get your matchscore.
If that's too tough for you, then yeah, maybe take a break. Loot bag events should be fun, not feel like a chore.

nah, it's not powercreep or ttk at work here; it's like 4people that play mwo like they used to in every match I see at the moment - and 20 people doing their utmost possible to sink their own ship in new and creative ways.
t5 matches from way back then look highly professional and orchestrated against the kind of matches that are the norm right at this moment. I suspect the lootbags are the cause, but hey:
it's still people that are the problem.
