Hello there, everyone... Pardon my wearing sunglasses, but I'm a little blind from a lot of Energy Weapons usage... B)

Anyway, I was sitting back trying to pick out stuff that I wanted to put in my Cockpit for a few of my Inner Sphere Mechs that I have. It suddenly dawned on me that there didn't seem to be a good choice for what to equip as a WarHorn on a Mech that is using any of the Inner Sphere PPC Family's available weaponry choices. I've been over the topic in my own head several times now, simply trying to figure out the most suitable option. Alas, I came to no perfect conclusion... If you want a good laugh, imagine me as sitting in a corner doing a facepalm because I could not figure it out. :(

So, my question is of two parts... What do the rest of you prefer as a WarHorn that fits with the I.S. PPC Family of weapons, and why? Further, why do you think it is better than other WarHorn options for that type of purpose? :o

Here's to looking forward to reading useful answers from those of you who post, and a clean debate that can possibly help even newer players for some time to come. ^_^

Considering the flight time and the pinpointed-ness of the weapon, and barring any lore based house horns for your mech, I'personally like the 'Nice Shot.' horn. It's very on point to me.

the most important use of any war horn is to know I killed that guy and there not just shut down or out of site
I think if your using PPCs your probably not locking them so it makes it all the more important.

the nice shot does seem appropriate

That's exactly the warhorn I have for my twin ER-PPC Shadowcat. Just seems fitting when she actually does get a kill from 700+ meters out.

Screaming Surat goes with the ppc sound nicely.

Yard Sale is King of warhorns. Goes with anything. PGI knows this, which is why they NEVER give it away for events.

Maybe, but I reserve the clapping surat and warhorn for loadouts that should make people feel bad when they are KO'd from it. Like my SSRM6 boat Summoner. But that's just me.

They gave it out several times in the past, that's how I got it.

I only have two options i use for my IS mechs.. Davion or Steiner speakers.. Everything else is garbage compared to those lord and master ones..

If i use Clan mechs its got to be one of my 9 clan wolf speakers as again they are the only ones i'd ever consider as the other clans are peasants compared..

Maybe i'd go for Clan Star Adder but PGI never made any.

It should gasp and call you a surat if you kill a clan mech and be a toilet flushing when you kill an IS mech.

Eh... pardon me, you two... but... Do either of those happen to actually exist in MWO at this time? If not, then you might want to go create Feature Suggestions over in the appropriate board area. Not to be a downer, and only to indicate the scope... I had only launched this whole "WarHorns that would fit with the I.S. PPC Family of weapons" thread as a question & discussion over what already happens to be available within MWO at this time.

I believe the "Chloe's Cavaliers" Warhorn has some kind of thunderclap to it.

Don't be a downer then; embrace the fact you have fired up creativity that links in perfectly with the whole concept of warhorns/ppcs :)

Okay, seems that I managed to clunk the discussion a little here myself. Let's do a speed dial, catch up with this quick, and wrap it up...

Refuse an idea like that? Nah. Just saying it should get a Feature Suggestion thread for itself, and one for 's idea as well. It sounds to me like something that would be interesting to have in-game, but it's a little hard to get all the discussion here which it should have if anyone were to hijack this thread. Last time that I checked, it's not nice to hijack another person's thread, right? (It's certainly something I try to avoid doing myself, in order to keep the Forums constructive!!!) ;)

<*tries to search for it via the in-game list of WarHorns and flatly fails to find it*>

Any chance you have a video /w audio for that one? Unfortunately, it so happens that I can not find that WarHorn in order to check it out.

Agreed... We do need more positive and constructive thoughts around both the in-game communication/coordination (including keeping Teammates alive, since PGI does happen to have the in-game "Savior Kill" bonus for doing so) and Forums too. That's part of the reason which caused me to give a link in my previous post in order to encourage creation of Feature Suggestion threads for those WarHorn ideas. I guess that I failed on giving just the right tone to my thoughts in that other post, huh?

Now... Getting back to the Original Topic at hand... Who else has a pick for what WarHorn that you think happens to go with the I.S. PPC Family of weapons? Why do you pick that one? And, if you're able to say, why do you think it's better than others for the pick? B)
