You can actually get rid of the green lines by using certain colors in the Tertiary channel.
Blues and Purples make the lines Blue shades.
Bright Yellows make them Yellow.
Dark Yellows and Red probably Brown make Orange.
Greys either make Green shades or Grey depending on base color.
Whites make White lines.

I have no idea how people are doing these out of their own Mech shots.

press F5 while in the training/practice area..
