I play on and off since launch pretty much. I remember they used to have the mech chassis competition events where it takes your Top 10 scores over the event with specific mechs, but don't remember seeing one this year. Do they still run those from time to time? I always loved those.

I remember those fondly as well. I think that was the last time I was on a leaderboard. =P

They probably stopped because there are just more mechs now.

Heck I'd actually buy a pack just to play in those again. Those were a blast.

They do something similar based on Mechs that come out in new Packs.

it was called the chassis challenge events
they have not had those in years and years (like 2015)

that is where I learned who the top players where (not knowing anything about comp or group que)

these days you learn who the top players are because they tell you lol (just kidding)

I am not exactly sure why they stopped doing stuff like the chassis challenge but I suspect the try hards killed it

you could drop with your team and they could let you kill them (or in other words people could exploit the system)

I still would love to see it come back

well stop scorers usually those that:
a) were pretty good at this game.
b ) played a looooooooooooooot of games with those chassis to get those perfect games.
c) synddropped and friends let themselves to be farmed.
IMO combination of all 3 of those.

would like to get those back maybe with with 1 chasis at time and all variants with of scoreboard and have max games you can play each variant that counts for competition.
only way to eliminate friend farming is probably reporting.

I remember I got to like 4th place on the Marauder IIc chassis event in my Scortch, then fell back down to like 10 or so as I switched to get the other variants some time.

Those events were pretty cool, but they would be hard to ballance. See what people can do with one chassis? Well now you got 24 people dropping all in the same mech. Give them multiple options, now you either try to get the prize for all of them, or get one to top 5.

Was still a good time, even if it turned out to not amount to much. Wouldnt mind seeing them again.
