So I've come back to Faction Play recently and one thing I have noticed is that a lot of folks die very quickly. This is fine, as it's bound to happen every now and again, but please, if you die early in a wave, don't go running back in to die on that same wave. I see people run through all four of their mechs and the score is 24-21. This is very bad because now the rest of the game is 12-on-11, and we all know how things can snowball in this game.

I'm not saying "stop playing," mind you, I'm just saying be a little more careful with your engagements. This should be a very easy thing to do and it'll help you win way more games!

There seem to be more FW newbies running around these days. I have been appreciative of those vets who are trying help them learn the basics of how to play the mode…it makes for a better experience for everyone.

Yes some streamers/content creators have been actively telling fresh players to go into Faction Play to get free mechbays... Posted Image

Of course they don't tell them any of the caveats/warnings associated with the mode so it's extremely dishonest if you ask me as they know better but are just going for that 'content' no matter how they can get it.

Well for me outside of the Faction play beta, I never got into it. More recently I'm doing well in pub matches and I was looking to do something more. I had a drop deck configured and updated it. And I noticed I had the wrong weapons and some builds for faction play. So I redid all of my invasion drop decks and weapons load outs, to match the gameplay style. Even after that I had to adjust gameplay style and still do further refinement on loadouts. Just had my first or second really good faction play match. It takes time.

Agreed anyone can do faction if they just work at it. Or find a coordinated team.

Yea but many are missing both points and end up as special snowflake blaming "team, clan/IS op..." for their faults.

All but maybe 2-3 units in this game have 0 recruitement requirements and take pretty much everyone as a guest

We are just unable to appreciate ''long range artillery support'' on Vitric attack. Next time we have to to be better team players and hold locks. Oh and also pls remember to defend your LRM turrets which are waiting for locks outside gate.

Also Atlas is best mech for Alpine.
Remember to turn off comms - it will help to avoid calls.
Scouting light in 1st wave of Siege DEF is needed to find out is enemy for sure outside gate or maybe still on spawn.
Scouting light in 1st wave of Siege ATT is needed to check is turret system is active.
NSRing all 4 mechs into enemy no matter what is a legit ''mechbay farm'' speedrun strat.
Using 6 different types of weapons with different ranges is a sign of being professional gamer and ultimate ELITE WARRIOR of the future.

Last but not least - remember to take capping mechs on FP Assault.

Imagine saying new players need to go to FP shark tank to get Mechbays... when you can get them or enough MC to buy them playing regular QP.
