Like Monkey Lover said, EG7 now owns PGI. But, they left the same management in charge…..for now.

Microsoft still have the video game rights. Pgi sold out to eg7. All we need worry about is what M$ plans for mw/bt.

MS hardly could done a viable OS during it's whole career (save 98 and XP the others are forgotten betas) so know they have the MW\BT rights... BAD!!! But at least a tid bit better than if Disney would have them (Oh, living or dead gods, do not let Disney to get anything else to ruin!)...

Windows has like 88% of the market share, there is a difference between an OS that is bad and an OS you don't like. Vista was Bad, 7 was good even if you didn't like it. 8 was bad, 10 was good even if you didn't like it.

Microsoft has held the mechwarrior license for decades now. Its all a bit of a mess, but this is nothing new.

Having new ownership means accountability. If the current management does not perform to expectations, they will soon become ex-management.

While that's true, we have no idea what the new ownership plans for the company. They may have set their hopes on the new game PGI is working on and really not have any plans for MWO beyond sucking out a few more dollars through false hope and booster packs.
