need to fix the coding to allow more then 12 players on a side. first off you break it down to 12 mechs, then say tanks and heli/vtol/hover vehicles would be between 1-10 as available, lastly say up to 15 power armors. maybe 3 floating slots for even 40 v 40. goodbye latency XD

I don't know if you're meming or not. But if you're not, then no.
Rather, hell no.
Rather, great gabbering gods no.
I don't know if I can think of a worse idea for "fixing" MWO than making it a Big Team Orgyball Fracas game. Those games are all pretty much universally horrible, even when built for the purpose from the ground up. We should be pushing for smaller teams, not bigger ones. Just...no.

This speaks to something a little deeper.
We have alot of weapons. It would be good to have more to be sure, but more weapons will just settle into existing niches; better lasers just settle into new laser vomit builds, better gauss rifles settle into sniper builds, etc etc.
If you really want to toss the meta up (and I sure do like tossing up the meta), what we need isn't necessarily more weapons, but more tech. More fun gizmos that take up tonnage on mechs (thereby lowering the number of guns many mechs take), and disrupt opposing strategies in big ways.
Reflective and reactive armours to mess up existing boat builds. Blue shield modules to disrupt PPC spam. I can imagine hardened armour and reinforced structure on a standard engine atlas or annihilator that goes 52 and does not die and that would be *absolutely magnificent*. Integrating NOVA CEWS, Bloodhound Active Probe, and Angel ECM in would also be cool (I guess we'd have to fudge their functionality). I'd be careful about solid upgrades like ferro-lamellor armour if they are just objectively superior to existing options.
We need much more defense and disruption in our arsenals. Half the buttons we press should be for things that don't directly murder the enemy, but rather make it harder for them to murder us.
Basically, more defense.
