Can solo droppers get Faction Play or Scouting as a solo queues only option?

Obviously the matchmaker does not work for groups in Soup Queue.

Splitting the queues is still on the roadmap for Q4 (October to December) of this year. Then again, PGI actually meeting one of their commitments is rarer than missing them.

Re-scale is still on the roadmap for Q2 of this year (April to June), and they haven't even given a new date for that.

Query: what will "solos" delude themselves into thinking the reason for their continued suck is, once they make it illegal to play MWO with your friends? Will we go back to "netcode is making me suck!", ye figure? Will they succeed in making it impossible to play with friends in MWO, then continue to blame the matchmaker for their suck? Inter-techbase balance issues again?

What do you guys think 'solos' will blame their average-to-mediocre performance on, once they can't falsely accuse groups of being LITERALLY WORSE THAN [Infamous Historical Warmongering Autocrat]?

What makes the "competitive" crowd thinking that solos sole reason for existence is to be farmed by upteamed farmers?
And shouldnt the competitive crowd be namend appropriately the "Farmers"?

Go "Team Farming" fix the game and never ever feel a shame... :P

Yes. I am saying that the sorts of 'solo' players who start threads on the MWO forums to screech and holler and carp about how groups are terrible horrible awful people and how "obviously matchmaker doesn't work in soup queue" are deluded. They think the matchmaker is the issue with their suck. Even if they're good, they think they should be better and the matchmaker is the reason they aren't.

Spoilers: the entirety of the explanation for your performance in MWO, whether good or bad, resides between your input device and your rumpus rest. The matchmaker has cluck-all nothing to do with it.

Anyone who knows how games work at all realizes that there are far too many variables in a MWO drop for the matchmaker to do more than vague-guesstimate in the first place. Frankly, the entire system needs to be ripped out and replaced with a single question: "were you on the winning team?" if Y: PSR goes up. If N: PSR goes down.

Nothing else. Doesn't matter how much damage you do, how many whatever awards you get, anything else. Doesn't matter if you're grouped up or if you're soloing. Did you win? Y/N.

All this "make it illegal to play with friends!" nonsense is just so much **** fog. Gas blown from buttholes by people with no idea how MWO works. This isn't Call of Duty, where the differences between kits is so minor as to be largely academic and the game can rely on a mostly-consistent level of performance every time someone clicks 'Go' - and spoilers Mk. II: people kvetch about groups in those games, too.

Groups have nothing to do with your Bad Play Experience(C) unless you're in T1 and running into Ultracomp T0 scrimmage teams, and that situation applies to so small a percentage of 'solo' players that it's a copout of an argument to make. Your Bad Play Experience(C) comes from your own shoddy aim, poor positioning, bad loadouts, and/or lack of teamplay. Work to try and improve those things and your BPE(C) will improve markedly.

Before PSR, MWO had the ELO system, which was based purely on wins/losses and the ELO of your teammates. Your individual score didn't matter, and group v. solo didn't matter.

PSR isn't perfect, but it has worked out better than ELO did.

Also, in my view what is important is that the teams are balanced, not that the right people are in the match overall. Personally I have no problem with each team consisting of, say, 4 high-skill players, 4 medium-skill players, and 4 low-skill players. All that matters to me is that both teams are balanced.
