The Tempest is a low-end, heavy 'Mech that is built to have a powerful punch. To make the most of the Tempest's available weight, the 'Mech is built on a Technicron Type H Endo Steel chassis and is propelled to its top speed of 64.8 kph by a Magna 260 XL Engine. These choices in materials save enough weight for the Tempest to carry a devastating arsenal that is powerful at both long and short ranges. The 'Mech's mobility has also been enhanced with four Chilton 465 jump jets that make the Tempest capable of jumping up to one hundred and twenty meters. Finally, the Tempest carries twelve tons of armor, a respectable amount of protection for a 65-ton 'Mech.
For long range firepower, the Tempest carries a Zeus Slingshot Gauss Rifle, which provides a devastating long-range punch. For medium to long ranges, the 'Mech has a Sutel Precision Line Large Pulse Laser. When the 'Mech closes to short ranges, it brings its three Diplan M3 Medium Lasers and its Irian Weapons Works 60mm SRM-6 to bear on an enemy.

Mpppff  sorry not my Mech. Getting up if neccessary by making push-ups on my main weapon always looked a little bit strange to me. So give me something with atleast one hand.

Unfortunately it still lacks the aesthetic grace of some of the other heavy Mechs... Take my the Marauder for instance

A Mech with a Gauss Rifle and a Large Pulse Laser, 3 medium lasers and a 6-barrel SRM launcher... and it matches the Catapult in speed. Escort, anyone?

True there are uglier, but it's still a hunchback with football pads, a skirt, and a beehive balanced on it's back.

Ah yes the Tempest, shoot it quick.
I've still got one miniature I'm thinking of trading with someone in my group because I don't remember why I even picked it up.

If its gonna be included, Im sure it will look great once FD is done with it. It also has a very nice loadout. Personally am looking forward to piloting mechs I never have before. One thing mwll has taught me is that just about every mech is deadly in the right hands which means all you have to do is discover how to use mech X

By the look of that "beehive" though it would suggest to me that, what ever weapon is attached to/in the "beehive", is able to attack stuff both above and behind it's self. Because it looks like the weapon would be able to be "turned" along that slit in the "beehive". And that in it's self would be a useful feature really.

Looks like the bee hive is a Medium laser on a reversible turret-mount.
(I assume the Gauss and Pulse Laser are arm-mounted, you can see the 6-pack on its torso, and 2 lasers seem to be in the middle of its chest)

Y'all are too picky. I'd drive it and love it. It has never been in a game before (no gurrantee it will be in this one, but...).

Maybe not the prettiest mechs...but one of my faves. It's the reason I'm leaning toward Marik.

Good punch/range with the Gauss, good anti-light with the large pulse, and great at finishing with the 3 Medium lasers and SRM 6. It's got good armor and moves alright in areas of thick terrain. Good all around design. The pic from the 3055 readout book wasn't that bad...neither was the mini.

The miniature actually looks quiet good.

But adding this mech would disrupt their mech feed, as they already have second heavy. And they mentioned Centurion in these reports long ago and he is still "neverseen".
