Just kind of a general discussion on how PRI can really communicate to the player that you are in a machine that uses legs as it's mode of transportation and not tracks or wheels. Previous Mechwarrior titles always gave me the sense that I was piloting a hovercraft that strangely rocked back and forth, and made thud-thud sounds. Not sure how they would accomplish this, but I'd love to see then do it. I think anything they could to to accomplish this would really add to the immersion factor.

Anyone else feel the same way? Suggestions on how they could improve the experience?

If you look at the video teaser for the MechWarrior game that was scrapped you will see the bob and weave of a walking machine. I am sure PRI will implement something similar to aid with immersion in the "reality" of mech combat.

Honestly, I'm looking for the physics engine to really make me "feel" the turns. I want to know that there are two legs under me trying to change the direction of 70 tons of metal.

That's been brought up before..give us physics and the way TT handled changing direction at speed, especially on various surfaces. It's funny as hell to see just how far a Locust moving at full speed will slide when the pilot fails his roll on that sharp turn. It's even funnier watching the parts of the Mech get torn off during that slide into home

There is a certain limit to how much thay can do that, as it can make quite a few people motionsick. It's easy enough to do, all you do is attach the player's eye"camera" to the cockpit location. You can set this up in for instance Maya (a 3d modeling and animation program) in literally 15 seconds (or less) All the previous games didn't lack the technology to do this, just the results aren't all positive. You have to reduce the movement or you get lots of vomiting.
