A Modder selling his Modpack Sound to PGI but clearing the legalities takes ages?

I have no clue and that is a pure out of thin air speculation :D

Literally Sony Certification for the patch.

not even joking, that's been the primary holdup, because the game is multi-platform, PC gamers are now stuck waiting for Xbox and Playstation Certification, and by even Daeron's own admission, "Sony is the toughest" regarding certification process... and this is well known within the industry.

You CANNOT, just push out a day one patch like that anymore with the game being crossplatform. This is the reality you need to understand.

We now however, have conformation that the patch should be dropping next week.

1 minute in it's mentioned a new patch will drop next week.

Haven't fired up the game yet to verify.

Depends if you got the patch or not.
I checked my Windows Store, no patch yet.

Why bother? Just mod the fix.

Because some do not use mods?

EDIT - Patch now downloading from Windows Store.
I notice it is yet another 22+GB just like the one I had to get when Lancers was released and had issues.
Why does every patch feel like I am downloading the whole game all over again?

Hey, hey, Phil blames console support for the patch taking so long:

The patch process is mentioned ~1:50 into the video.

Dearon confirmed that the patch process was holded up because of the consol confirmation process.
PGI had the patch ready to go but had to wait till MS and Sony gave their OK to release the patch.
