What gives?

Some of my mechs, particularly the ones that were agility-adjusted, have become invalid?

Is this a bug, or am I supposed to do something about this?

Could you list those 'Mechs, please?

The latest patch changed armor one some 'Mechs (Cicada, Stalker, JagerMech, Jenner, Jenner IIC), thus making them invalid in some cases. Are you sure that this is not the case?

Strip the mech, save it, load it up again, save it.

I was hoping to avoid rebuilding mechs from scratch.. but guess that's it then, yes?

Just remove 1 point of armor from the 2 arms and 3 torsos, save, then add armor back on.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. For my Jenner and Atlas I had to totally strip armor to get rid of the invalid message. For my Jagermech i just needed to move a point or two.

Pretty amazing since the Atlas wasn't affected. I have the Jenners and Jenner IICs, this method worked.

Probably because I hadn't touched the Atlas since before I took a 3 year break from the game. Who knows what patch changed it? Point is... strip and reload solves it in every case while moving a point or two only USUALLY solves it. Posted Image

Really though, does it matter? Strip all armor if you need to, no point in stripping equipment though.

You only need to strip your armor and re apply it

Just noticed TODAY that nearly 100 of my mechs are INVALID ... I hate this PATCH !

PS: 312 mechbays occupied, of which 14 light, 17 medium, 24 heavy & 31 assaults are invalid :-(

This thread was about a change PGI had made to a few mechs to move actual armor from the Side Torso to the arms, then reverted the change later on. PGI could have added +armor points to those arms without jacking up things.

Invalid can also be due to mechs having no engines nor any equipped weapons. I still have a few mechs like that, where I had stripped the engine to us on another mech.

I know ... but that doesnt help me ... I had to check 31 assault mechs to find the SINGLE Stalker which had INVALID LAYOUT, all others were only missing the engine, all weapons or a pod.
