I'm a casual player.
I have no idea wtf a KMDD is or how to get it but I want to win at this event!

Kill Most Damage Dealt, so doing the most damage to a mech that has been killed. (Can be stacked with the actual kill too)

You kill an enemy mech and you delivered the most damage to that mech.

You don't have to actually deliver the killing blow for it to count as a KMDD either.

It's an abbreviation of Kill Most Damage Dealt.
If you inflict some damage upon a Mech and at the moment of a kill of that Mech your share of damage dealt is higher than shares of others, you get this reward. Helps against kill steal.

This fast this number of answers... Should be really high time on forums. I wonder about actual game queues.

Killing Blow: you landed the shot that killed an enemy mech
Solo Kill: you landed the last shot and did the most damage

about the only stat with any true relevance to performance, and the only one not realyl easily gamable beside Solo Kills.

Fun fact for OP; these 3 actually stacks in game so you get almost 20k per solo kill and loads of exp

because its NOT killing blow, KMDD rewards the guy who does the work even if the kill was Stolen secured by someone else.(see what i did there )

I always thought of it like.... Kill, Most Damage Dealt.

Its even better when you do it via the legs for an extra 8k in component destruction

Torso twisting, covered approaches w/ terrain, not standing still, and learning the typical spots you will see snipers so you can avoid their line of sight are the best ways to achieve this.

its like watching a hundred experienced players rushing in to be the first one to answer noob (or at least a guy who has been around since 2015 and still hasn't bothered to take a thorough look at the score screen) question. i guess whatever minigame makes the wait time go by faster.

Well OP did post this 2017, which was about 1½ Years after his account was created.

What I'm wondering really REALLY hard how in the name of zeus ******** someone who has been around since 2013 has some massive unstoppable urge to dig out four Years old thread and has incompetency to check when last post was made in said thread and then just replies "Good info for a new player".

when an enemy gets killed from whoever on the map, you get KMDD if you are the player that dealt the most damage to that mech who just died

example, you deal 30% of the damage dealt to X mech that just died
B team mate had dealt 40%
C team mate had dealt 30% too

B will get the KMDD regardless of who kills that enemy


you get the solo kill if you get the KMDD And you are also the one who strikes the kill
