There are no Clan Rotary Autocannons in MechWarrior Online. You do not like Gauss Rifles.

That leaves us with standard Autocannons, Ultracannons or LBX Autocannons.

Yeah meant ultras sorry, are LBX any good, I feel like I don't do much with them when I use them.

They are much better in BattleTech, when you can switch between solid slugs and cluster shots. They are not so good in MWO, but they are still useful.

One LBX Autocannon on the 90-tonner like the Mad Cat Mk. II would be probably not enough. The problem is that multiple ACs will eat your free tonnage and internal room.

And if you want some LRMs ... Posted Image Using LRMs often means using Active Probe and Targer Acquisition Gear too.

Remember that your weapons should work together, if possible. So, how would you imagine the loadout of your 'Mech?

It would probably end up being this that was linked before.

But then you would lose those LRMs that you wanted, no?

It's fine, I can play around with it till I find something I am comfortable with, I'll get the 1.

All right, just make sure that you do not waste your C-Bills. Posted Image

I have a lot of stuff already so won't waste much on equipment, had a game, dunno if it's great for close quarters.

The only issue with the MCii-1 is the geometry. Energy and ballistic hardpoints are fairly low slung, while the missile hardpoints are super high up (but using them gives you shootable "bunny ears" that make your side torsos easy to hit. And using both arm ballistics makes corner peeking impractical.

That said, if you like the bunny ears, this build works pretty well. its the LBX and pulse build Martian was talking about, with a couple SRM4's tacked on for extra boom. Me, i run it without the SRM's, adding an active probe and a jump jet.

That build works really well thanks :)

I am happy to hear that you are enjoying your new Mad Cat Mk. II. Posted Image

If you wish (and you have some spare C-Bills), you can experiment a bit. Engines are cheaper thanks to the current sale.

Downgrading your 'Mech's engine to 350XL would give you more tonnage to play with. You could add a Jump Jet, more ammo and fine-tune your 'Mech.

Downgrading your 'Mech's engine to 325XL would let you upgrade to a pair of LBX-20s, Artemis-enhanced SRMs, and generally-speaking. You would create a short range killer that can butcher any 'Mech that gets too close.

Of course, if you like your 'Mech "as-is", just keep it that way.
