Usually laser vomitters and snipers aren't bad at close range either. However, a brawler or a light mech with limited range has not even a way to shoot back

And actually that is the problem of the current gameplay: lasers and brawlers perform too well across the ranges and have no real weak spot. A brawler / light with close range weapons...100-300m and that's it.

no force you to come with a Shotgun to a long Range fight ,why you use not 1 or 2 Large Laser self?why you bind yourself one arm on the Back?and a Light Mech has his Spoeed to come fast in Close Range and can circle the enemy Team without LOS.

Do you actually listen to yourself? You propose even more monotony in the game when it comes to mech choice but also playsytles.

Let me explain...
1. Some mechs cannot do that. Ever tried to use a Large Laser on an Oxide? And here we are actually at the core of the problem: this meta is limiting usable builds or the choice of mechs - depending on the perspective.

2. Striking with lights...sure you can do that. Just pray that one of those Assault alphas slung from half across the map doesn't hit you, other lights hunt you or keep you locked for missile fun

I have come back after two years only to find a glorified whack-a-mole game and when I saw it was "WTF?! Why went they back to laser spam? We had that already"

Sure, you can think about it whatever you want. But the more viable builds and playstyles the bigger the chance the players stay entertained. The game has not that many players left.

Yes ,sorry when im harsh looking in my words .
Many Chassies only Crap and here while in lore (Urbie is Funny and very crap against other Mechs ...very good as policemech for Riots)...Luckyly the Hollander is not her Posted Image and many Builds and Mechs crap in lore and in the Game , and Meta ? im never use a meta ,who a other player is good ,im use Builds who im self good...when Gauss is a meta ,forget it ,im can not handle thats dam Gauss mechanic , not seeing the little light and hear the dam Loading sound.
From my 199 mechs (never buying a Oxide or Piranha), im only use a Handfull ,the other mor for Fun or for the optical Collection.Lights for me to fast and im to fast in the next hill and most when im iuse lights more raven or Mist Lynx , and Assaults to slow , when im not can use myx weapons in an mech ,im not use the Mech -easy solution.Thats proble have you in each Game , when you use in War thunder a Beginner Tank like the grant ,thats not the Problem from the game or the other Players, to play Funbuilds is MW5 the better solution as a PvP.Like in all real Things , in a PvP is the own wishes onaly a minimal Part against other Wishes and all will win and will Fun and MWO is easy peasy against CoD and his Problems with Cheaters and AFK farmers.
