Meanwhile in every game I'm in I see at least one dude with brawly stuff — me. Must mean every game is a brawl fest, eh?

There are 5 friendly wall snipers on the minimap.

I like to sit under cover in the middle, scope out the snipers when they peek and unload my HPPCs into them.
This trend like all past trends will come to pass. Especially if the next Cauldron pass nerfs something...

lol yeah...
That one anecdotal, cherry-picked screenshot which doesn't prove a thing.
I mean the other Assaults up there might not even be ranged, there is no way to know for a start.
Never a dull moment when middle aged people cannot have a discussion in good faith.

Assume I'm not being deceptive with my "one anecdotal, cherry-picked screenshot", if you want to have a discussion in good faith.

I'm assuming you death cammed them too and they were sniper fit? Though for assaults just a regular laser vomit fit can double as brawl and snipe.

What of it? I've played on the wall before too.... as a brawler. Maybe if you tried finding ways of pathing yourself up onto the wall as a brawler instead of crying non-stop about snipers, you'd enjoy feasting on a "sniperfest" instead of getting farmed by them.

Well that extreme range build is also sitting literally center of the map and not on the walls sniping as he should with that build.

Most games consist of a mix of game styles and phases. Players who drop exclusively in one style will naturally notice all the time they spend not fighting in that style. I've been running a lot of games in my new Scorch recently, and because that 'Mech is exclusively a close-range slug-punching nutcracker it means I find myself more sensitive to long-range chickendickery than normal. When I was spending a lot of time in a Goose/ERLL ECM Night Gyr, I found myself far more sensitive to idiots pushing too early and/or moving the fight away from clean sightlines into a tangled mess.
Whatever it is a player is not doing, they're going to hate other people doing it because that's not the fight they want to have just then. Brawelrs hate sniper players, even friendly ones, because those players discourage brawls. Snipers hate brawler players, even friendly ones, because those players end sniper duels. Big slow things looking for iceberg fights hate small fast ankle biters. Direct-fire Church of Skilz weenies hate LRMs. LRMs hate close-slugfest brawlers and ankle-biters.
Whatever shuts down the thing you're trying to have fun doing, that's what's gonna piss you off in a given match.
The difference is that some players can rotate through styles, play a little bit of everything, and in the doing realize that every style is out there and there's no single over-dominant style. Every style, every robit, every player gets their time in the limelight. If you restrict yourself to a single style, a single narrow band of robits? Then you're gonna wind up hosed on the same maps by the same type of enemies every time, and of course you'll think those maps and those enemy robits are a problem. You could try and vary your gameplan, or do some work learning/developing counter tactics and counter movements to those enemy robits.
Or you could, as a theoretical, come onto the MWO forums and spend all your time blaming the matchmaker, the Cauldron, PGI, and the existence of robits in general for your own bad experiences with playing a narrow, generally inflexible strategy.
P.S. too much AMS ammo. You've got at least three tons of ammunition for those two AMS units. Frankly, a single ton would cover you for most usage if you're being properly aggressive. AMS ammo you don't shoot by the end of an average match is AMS ammo you don't need, and everyone who uses AMS regularly should have their Toggle AMS command bound to something easy to hit. A ton, ton and a half will give you enough AMS ammo to take the bite out of early LRM nonsense without taking up weight you could sink into other equipment. Yeah, occasionally you'll encounter Lurmageddon and run out of AMS three minutes into the match, but see above post - those incidents are rare, and frankly when that happens you're up a creek unless you use LAMS anyways. They WILL have more missiles than you have AMS ammo unless you don't care about ammo because lazors. Best to use enough AMS ammo to give you some extra insurance while closing in and finding a line. I do really like having AMS, but ye gotta resist the urge to over-ammo it.

Well there has been an uptick in sniping since cauldron buffed long range weapons. However I don't find it particularly offensive or impacting gameplay in a negative way. Just more variation to a typical fight and I like that. Hell I have jumped on the sniping bandwagon myself and have been playing all sorts of mobile mechs that can mount a usable amount of long range stuff. Clans are especially good at this with a lot of mobile lights and mediums that can boat impressive amounts of both energy or projectiles. Getting a 50~70 damage laser vomit alpha on the clan side with a 500~900 optimal is easy peasy even on a light. The lppc changes have given the IS side a nice sniper option for the more mobile lights and mediums too.

The monthly event Hunch-IIC can actually be made into a pretty useable mid-weight sniperthing, vaguely like so. ERLLs are packed high and tight, perfect for hill peeking, and the ERML array gives you a pretty hefty midrange burn. Not really that far behind common Hellbringers in terms of burn damage, though it loses a significant chunk of cooling and can't get ECM. You get semi-basic jump capability though, and technically you can strip a ton of armor off the limbs to cram a heat sink into the least-stripped limb.
Could be a good way for budget-conscious people to try out the mobile snipe-poker meta without any cash outlay.
