104 Mechs doesn't sound like a lot, especially for those who have been around for years.
I haven't, so it's a lot for me. Especially when I'm respeccing all of them because of the sheer number of quirk and weapon changes since I got them.
The buff to the 5 point ballistic weapons, for example, has meant finding spots where I can use them instead of the 2 or 10.
So all of my favourites have been reset (there should be a better way of categorising Mechs for those of us with OCD) and I'm randomly adjusting them. Some are a lot worse than I remember, or maybe I just made really bad Mechs. One or two have had some radical overhauls as I realise it's okay to not maximise weapon points, weight and slots.
Other builds have been weird - my Grasshopper 5H now runs 4 ERSL and 2 HPPC. So it doesn't overheat like the previous laserboats and has a very nasty midrange punch.
So what surprises have you found revisiting your Mechs?

I’ve dusted off my Jäegers for the first time in years due to the ammo quirks that they have. Suddenly you CAN squeeze enough ammo to run 100% non-energy builds on them. And I’m using more inner sphere PPCs since the ghost heat limit went up by one and the minimum range was relaxed. My Awesome 8Q comes out to play again.

Centurions. All of them. The armor buffs make them the equivalent of a small, highly mobile heavy mech.

The JM6-A with an AC20 in each arm is a thing of joy. You can fit 6 ammo in it with an XL255 - fire with each arm and it's just the most fun.

isn't the ghost head too much?
That particular mech is quirked to not get ghost heat. The BoomJager is great fun, because ice-cold rapid-cycle (well, relatively) 40point pinpoint strikes just ruin people's day. Particularly if you land it somewhere other than the front CT armour

i maybe have that many mechs with less than 20 games on them. ive been revisiting them for the past couple years. i pulled from the top, now im pushing from the bottom. the cauldron has brought back several mech i sold long ago. and i have historic sp for those. i bought like 50 over the holidays.

On my main account I probably have nearly every viable mech skilled out and haven't touched it in a long time. Made this account just to try the new player experience when they revamped it and only have a handful of mechs because those are the ones I have distilled down to regularly playing anymore. It's like in world of tanks. I have a zillion tanks and most of the useful premiums but probably only play a handful of them anymore.

I like taking arms off. Or one leg - ever seen how slow a legged Annihilator is?

Oh, I missed that one! I haven't played for quite a while. So most likely it got quirked there
Yep I have played it a bit and I'm just wondering why they don't remove AC20 ghost heat, it is not the scary thing it was back in the day. alpha of 40 is nothing special anymore.
