Almost certainly not. There were always technical hurdles, but primary development of this game has passed so it's very unlikely we'll see such a significant feature worked out.

well there is collision dmg and there was once upon a time that you could knock someone over

i just want Mechs to explode when cored, like an artillery explosion, would so help spread people out, and prevent that face humping action of mechs. Nobody really wants to get a dose of core blowing up.
