I'd love to play on Solaris during the day, so that I could actually see what's going on. As is, I'm pretty much stuck in heat vision for most/all of the battle.

Your Idea gets a big...

...from me, as a DayTime Solaris City (and even the return of a NightTime River City & NightTime New Forest Colony as alternate maps) would both be nice to have.
But with that said, I have to ask this... Are you unable to physically brighten up your monitor, and are your Brightness & Gamma settings already maxed out in the MWO Game Client to where you can not reasonably put them any higher without rendering it useless?

I have to concur with D V Devnull here, since I never have any issues with Solaris being too dark. In fact, I feel like a lot of the maps that look dark are just not dark enough to warrant Night Vision, which I always thought of as a shame and have wanted darker maps to warrant Night Vision being used, but knowing this wouldn't be good for newer players that don't know of Night Vision and ignore all texts. Perhaps this is because your monitor/game settings are set to more realistic settings it seems too dark?
