Are there any discussions about mechs sticking to rocks, walls, buildings, and other numerous environmental elements? For instance, I jumped up next to a wall, and my vector carried me into the wall, then I just....hung there against the wall. Happens to me when in lights...often.

Known issue with mostly light and medium mechs from my XP.
Usually when you hang on the wall for a sec then you get slammed to ground and take loads of leg damage (3-5% of total health of mech), super annoying.

PS. nice self like Posted Image.

There is a place for these discussions, 'Neeko Deetrix', and one for every single Map (or Map Type) in order to keep things sorted where they should be. Please go to "Support & Feedback > Map Feedback" @ https://mwomercs.com/forums/forum/462-map-feedback/ in order to find the correct Map's board for posting in. Please then leave a post in the specific Map's section with as much detail that you can provide regarding whatever issue is being encountered. It's certainly a lot better than cluttering up General with this kind of chatter! :D

EDIT :: For what it's worth, people generally consider it bad Forum Etiquette to put a 'Like' on one's own postings. Or are you trying to troll us somehow?

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the clarification Devnull :)

I don't browse the forums much, hoping the self like would help me find this post again....and it did. Don't know forum etiquette, there a scetion for that too? The forums are a rabbit hole at times, I rarely find the answer I seek here.

Thank you!

Do I add to a smiliar post, or start a new one?

You're welcome. I see you have some more questions, and even some spelling errors that I'm not going to be idiotically picky about in reading them. I apologize in advance for any long-winded sentences in my reply here. Let's get to your questions and answer them, eh? ^_^

The rule about avoiding self-Likes and not using them is a little bit of an unwritten one that is common across most Forums on the internet these days. Not much more I can tell you about it beyond the fact of being really horribly frowned upon to do so, and that someone has always pointed it out on these Forums when someone else has done this particular thing. :o

That depends on a number of things. Those include how old the last posting to the thread is, when the thread was first started and the relevance of all other content in the thread by comparison to today, where the thread is located, the content type and context of the thread, and finally how much constructiveness you can bring in awakening a dormant thread. It really does take a major dose of something which people call "Common Sense" in order to properly determine where a posting should go. If when you ask yourself about how well your post qualifies for an existing thread that it doesn't seem/feel to check enough of the metaphorical boxes necessary for being proper to put there, then it's potentially more likely that your posting may be better off creating a whole new thread of its' own for people to discuss your thoughts within... and that reminds me... If you find yourself starting a new thread, always take the time to PLEASE make sure it goes in the right board's section by looking through the Forums and finding the appropriate place to pop it into. I keep finding too many threads that should not be in General which should be put elsewhere, and they are repeatedly cluttering General to the point where other threads which should be in General are being pushed down out of immediate view in too short an order! Unfortunately, most people are unwilling to look beyond the first page or two, which ends up pushing some valid threads down into total obscurity far too soon.

You too. Hopefully, we'll be on the same team, and not forced to fight each other because of MWO's MatchMaker being an absolute [expletive deleted by author during typing] on us both! Have a nice day. B)

I'd say don't bother with posting in map feedback. I doubt PGI reads or cares about that section (or the majority of the forums in general). They only occasionally fix map issues and it looks like it's mostly done based on direct cauldron feedback.

If only we could get Francois (and others) to poke their nose into the Forums more, and engage the Community much further than they currently are...

By the way, there has been times when PGI Staff have taken the time to read things in Map Feedback and fix the corresponding problem. So don't count them totally out, and please avoid going around non-constructively telling others to forget posting in that appropriate section! ;)

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Devnull, we've dropped together a number of times, both sides of the drop. You should know you call a good game Posted Image
I'll try post in the indicated forum, with the hope that it will help. I often enjoy this game and hope to play for a long time.
Devnull, you might consider using smaller words and shorter sentences. My brain got tired about halfway through your 0509 reply :(

Please close thread. Questions answered.

This typically happens to me in a fast mech and I hit a wall at max speed. Something in the physics goes wonky and it will partially climb the wall then get stuck for a bit and then slam me to the ground. If you look at the speed indicator when this happens it thinks you are in free fall which is why it hurts so much when you get unstuck and fall off even if its just a small distance.
