The matchmaker preferences drop down is not working. Cannot set those prefs!

Not sure if anyone else has this bug. but the drop down next to quick play doesnt pop up when either mouse-overed or clicked on.

It is a well know and long standing bug. The workaround is to refresh the client by either logging in and out, or dropping into and completing a match, or entering and exiting testing grounds until it works.

Exiting and restarting the client usually works for me.

Another work around is to create a group, change your preferences in the group's dropdown, then disband the group.

It's an old glitch that crops up for a lot of players from time to time. (I've only encountered it once, so I suppose I've been inordinately lucky on that one.) If I had to guess, I'd say the reason why it still exists is because its inconsistency makes tracking down an exact cause very difficult. Combine that with PGI's limited resources and most of the community being aware of it by now? Yeah, throwing manhours at fixing it probably just seems like a wasteful snipe hunt.

Switching into Faction Play also helps to circumvent the glitch.

Low, low player numbers will often trick the server preference into opening up all three options to speed MM up.

Lately the whole MM seems not to work properly...

Just a side note (sorry if miss someting!):
Aren't PGI said something about an event queue? Both Solaris and EQ gone just QP and FP remained (+ some bugs but those slowly considered features instead)...

I'm going to have to ask for some kind of evidence of this. You saying it is so is all well and good, but I have no way of knowing if you actually saw what you think you saw.

Why? I didn't know you worked for PGI?

Just because you have missed something doesn't mean it isn't a reality. What you believe means very little

In other words, you are making a claim, a very dubious one, and offering nothing to back it up. What I believe may not mean much, but what you've had to say means even less.
