Pretty self explanatory. If a player disconnects within the first like 30 seconds of a match, they need to be invincible for like 5 minutes to allow for a reconnect. I have this game on an SSD, I literally cannot load back into the match i CTD out of fast enough before a light mech or two finish my mech off.

5 minutes allows for enough time to reconnect, but not seriously impede the ending of a match if it were to end quickly.

Coming in 5 minutes late with a fresh mech in a game that lasts 6-10 minutes doesn't seem exploitable at all.

Ehh, forcing your team to fight 11v12 for 5 minutes really isn't a winning strategy, and there's better ways of letting your team die for the sake of your match score than disconnecting for a bit.

That said disconnects seem extremely rare, so I'm not sure there's much point in this. I'd rather they let you skip all of the mechbay load screens and go straight back to the game if you're still alive.

The only protection I can think of is hiding the status (connecting/disconnected) of the other team members for about 2 mins. This is to prevent spawn diving from lights.

Or not report status to the enemy team, at all.

It's been a long standing tradition to report disco location at the end of the match so the other team can conclude the match.

As someone with a 3rd world quality tier 5 internet connection, at least don't nerf my tier because I d/c'd.

Again.

I probably get a disconnect every two days on average. I had one last night and when I came back there was a Mist Lynx trying to kill my BAS-E. At least he'd only just started chewing on my legs so I was able to surprise him when I restarted.

Even doubling the armour while disconnected would be helpful!
