Lrm boats can be some of the most effective mechs in the game if you don't get a city map and wait till the brawls start to dump your load. Then solaris city drops and you go sulk. Was running an ebon jag lrm80 last night and was getting regular 700~1100 damage games with multiple kills.

Its pretty mean with all the bonus. If you are lucky to have a tag or narc slave its even better.

Make sure to set two groups of all launchers set to chain fire then fire both at the same time for maximum saturation.

Oh and if you happen to have the EBJ-EC arms you can do something like this and still get most of the lrm bonus and alpha and have some backup energy so you are not totally defenseless.

I still prefer a mix of lurms and lazors [that can do decent damage over 400m]. You're not at the mercy of the random missile lock, because you're up getting your own... Drill and Fill style!

Lol just bought the EC on discount because I wanted the laser arms.. Got whacked by geeram a few times and need some defense. Plus needed some backup for when I run out of ammo which can happen on an lrm friendly map.

If your LRM boat has jump jets then city battles can be a lot more tolerable - jump, lock, launch! Or you can deadfire them effectively since the ranges are short enough.
