I just installed the game on a new machine and when I logged in all of my non-hero mechs were showing the standard green paint scheme instead of my custom schemes in the mech selection gallery. Clicking on a specific mech brings up the individual mech screen and the custom paint schemes display on that screen just fine. Also, some of my weapon group settings have been reset. Is this normal when installing on a new computer or have I stumbled onto a bug?

I believe the icons in the mech selection are saved locally. I play on a desktop and a laptop and notice when i change a paint job on one, it wont show on the other. The actual mechs themselves still have the paint job on both.

Yup, they are saved locally. All you need to do is change one point of armor in the mech lab, save, then change it back to get your skins to show.

This needs to be fixed, we are 10 years past release of this game. It's very annoying to those of us who have 200+ mechs and are loyal players. It's not practical to do this to get our paint jobs to show up in mechlab.

On the other hand it would nice if they only loaded in your favorite list out of your 200 mechs so it didn't take 3 times longer to load your mechbays than it does for the entire rest of the boot and log-in.

Super fun when you have a random crash.

you can copy the local files from one rig to the other. Problem solved.
