I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I'd love to hear if there are any updates on the number 1 thing on my Wishlist for this game. I'm getting back into playing after a LONG time away from the game so I'm not sure if it has been addressed lately or not.
Long story short I WOULD PAY to have the Mech Warrior 3 Bitchin' Betty Voice for my MWO mechs, and the sound effects from MW3 for weapons as well. Let me relive the glory days of my first ever PC game. Maybe it could be an option or some kind of premium content to add some variety.
Oh and speaking of variety, how about different voices for quick chat from pilots? Maybe some Playlist options like 8v8 maybe?
Thanks!

Welcome back to MWO's environment... I hope you find things feeling reasonable.
Things like this have indeed been addressed, albeit not in a properly official manner as the current method of Sound Mod Packs takes advantage of mod-insertion features present-but-hidden in the Modified "CryTek 3" Game Engine which MWO currently runs on. You'll want to look around the Forums for a video posted by 'Sean Lang' of the "No Guts, No Galaxy" site, and what he had to say on the matter. Heck, just for the crazy of it, I dug it up, and here you go...

...so that you can see how to deal with it. Your only remaining issue is that you'll have to find the "MechWarrior 3"-themed files or alternate Command Wheel voice files yourself to add into MWO's program directory. Good luck!
As for this...

This has been talked about excessively & endlessly as well. Unfortunately, the needed development has not been put forward to make it so that 8v8 and 12v12 are simultaneous options to choose from. No consensus can be reached by the Community either as to locking down into being 8v8 or 12v12 only, but that is quite understandable as there are pros & cons to each side of the matter, which makes having both available as options into being the best solution. Threats about leaving the game have even been tossed into the arena by both sides, and there are people who have chosen leaving due to 8v8 not being switched to. On the converse, there are those who are so hard-set on 12v12 that if the switch occurred, it could as equally cause a mass exodus which would kill MWO outright, and we don't need that either. (Almost needless to say, those who would desire having both 8v8 & 12v12 available at the same time have simply been left hanging by the other two groups of people, because PGI has this thing about not making a move without enough collective Community consensus to know that they're not going to make tons of people alienated & angry all at once.) Put simply on the matter, PGI has a harsh situation and choice to make, and possible tough development ahead of them, and they simply have not put forth the needed work on it yet, should they choose to take what would be the best option for literally everyone but the toughest for them. My only question at this point is if they will wake up and take on that hard job to have both Match Sizes available for all, or keep wobbling around that question until it kills MWO completely off and sends MechWarrior straight into another unwanted dark era.
