I'm actually pumped for the July patch.
Great buffs to Hunchbacks, particularly the 4G which I already thought was strong, now it's even stronger. 4H got great buffs as well, I might play it more often.. but mostly the 4SP, finally being put back into the brawler class it deserves to be. These things are gonna be little monsters. I can't wait to run my old 4Sp's.

CAN WE GET SOME EVENT QUEUES PLZ! Let me run my hunchies in a drop deck!

Looks good, not sure why the poor Osiris never gets a look in.. that was a wasted pack of mechs for me..

The Banshee looks good and the Armor buffs were needed.

Plus i might buy both Platinum #5 packs as i don't own any of those mechs.

Pleased about the Crab buff. Perhaps it won't feel like a wet paper back for an Assault now.

Pumped to see how the 4SP brawls now.

I still dust it off every now and again, put on my rose tinted glasses, and reminisce about ye olden days with Jenner bowling and glowing Atlas eyes you could shoot from spawn, when the 4SP was a terror if it got close enough to get it's hooks in you.... instead of now, where it instantly explodes if anything looks at you when you try to close range, and if by some miracle you actually get into fisticuffs, you get out-firepower-ed by pretty much everything.

Its not that big a change. 624 points of armor, each node grants you an increase of 6 points, for 684 total. This buff takes it to 732.

But lights are still OP.

So in that vein and not knowing it was broken myself, should I even bother continuing to use Hill Climb. I have had it specced on nearly heavy/assault that doesn't have any JJ's and didn't realize it was actually slowing me down. Should I just invest the 4 SP in something else despite it now being fixed?

Hill Climb might be the sleeper MVP.

Wish the HBK-IIC would get some love. They suck so bad now. They have the armor of lights. They can have 3 more points of ct armor than an urbanmech, not to mention their other bits. I mean, wow. Damn man. That plus huge square torsos and a huge CT they die too easily.

Not sure how HBK-IIC sucks, one of the best mediums in game since release.
It is bit soft but has pretty damn good firepower and JJs.
Urbie doesn't wield dual gauss, dual UAC/LBX20, etc.

IS mechs are starting to look way, way over tuned. Clan mechs need a bit of love.

Thats just bringing them up to survive against clan mech alpha laser meta.. That is so overpowered that these buffs will hardly register.

Its mostly the ranges are crazy imo..
