This has happened to me quite a few times now where hitting a wall at a certain angle while jump jetting causes my mech to get launched incredibly high or far, and actually ends up causing quite a bit of leg damage. It's usually triggered when I'm using a light mech, such as the spider, arctic cheetah, or jenner. Oddly enough, it mostly seems to happen on Vitric, but has also happened on Frozen and Emerald Vale.

Sadly, I don't have any screenshots of footage to showcase this. Usually don't record any matches, but thinking now that I should.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas as to what might be the cause?

Something similar happened to me last weekend in my Arctic Cheetah. I jump jet into a canyon wall and turn in mid air to land on the terrain and it bounced me forward really fast like I hit a rubber bumper. I don't play lights a lot so I didn't think twice about it as being abnormal. I wasn't recording that last weekend so sorry I have no evidence. And without evidence.....Posted Image

There are lot of invisible walls and geometry that you can end up hitting. Ive hit some spots with jumpjets that launched me into the sky or locked me into place until it threw me into the ground causing damage to the legs.

From my experience its an issue with spots in the map itself.

ive seen this happen once, in a locust, back when solaris was fairly new. i hit a wall of the steiner colosseum at full speed and got catapulted way up. locusts dont have jump jets, but its possible i hit a bump and caught air, as 20 tonners frequently do.

I remember immediately thinking, "Ok, now how can I use this to attack?" Posted Image

It happened to me a few days ago on Vitric Station. I was piloting a light 'Mech. I was on the ground and I wanted to jump on the platform. I jumped and I when I was about to land on the ledge, I used my jump jets to soften my landing. You know, you have to be careful because you have only a minimal amount of JJ fuel left.

But when I actually touched the ledge, I skyrocketed into the air. I hovered much higher than the highest spire that was suddenly under my 'Mech. It was really funny. Posted Image

After a few seconds I came down softly like a feather. Posted Image
