I am asking if there are any weight class mechs that have dual ballistic that can accommodate dual lbx 10's and some small or medium lasers.

In addition I want it to have enough lift with jj or skill points to easily clear canyons' cliffs.
Clan or IS doesn't matter.
Already have BSW with dual lbx and 4 ersmall with great success. I would just like some jj.

Speaking for inner sphere mechs, the lightest fellow that can get the job done well is a QuickDraw IV-Four. It has some nice quirks to help, like massive cooldown and velocity buffs, but only mounts 2 lasers.

Upping to 70 tons gets you the massively armored Cataphract 3D, and 75 gets your the Marauder 5M with its high ballistic hardpoints.

on the Clan side, you can do it with a Vapor Eagle VGL-1… because you can do everything with a vapor eagle. Posted Image

I already have an IV-4 but have dual mrm 20"s in it. Fulll jj and skills I can clear canyon ridges but not as quickly as I would want. Maybe I am asking the impossible. Vapor eagle you say?

You could use a huntsman and change up omnipods. Might be too tight on tonnage for laser backup however.

A thanatos might be an option.
Maybe this would work? tns-5s

Hunchback IIC seems like it would do the job.

On sale right now too

possibly shadowhawk, but not sure if 2 10s would fit on one side.

They will, but you'll only have room for a standard engine... which means you'll be short on tonnage. So... nope.

And for the Vapor Eagle... something like this, since you want the jump jets maxxed out.

YES! That vapor eagle looks promising.

The Vapor Eagle comes highly recommended, in part for its mobility. I have to ask, though - why LB-X poptarting? It seems like a very situational build.

Poptart Veagle with a bit fewer jets and smaller engine can do 2LB10+ERPPC, which is quite nice. The short range of the LB is awkward but compensated by low heat to allow more ERPPC spam.

40 tubes will do if you have some backup lasers. I'd use the Quickdraw 4H for it though, same cooldown, more energy hardpoints.

True, I really want lots of JJ to scout kill. Hence, the LBX.

You mean kill Lights? LB-X ACs are less effective than normal ACs for that, because the damage spreads across more sections of a small 'mech.

Yup, a little easier to score a hit, but a lot harder to make skill. Pinpoint damage is the quickest way to kill lights if your aim is true.

Well, maybe I will do a run with an VGL-1 and dual ac 10 and see how it goes.

Thanks

Huntsman might be an option. A bit of tinkering with omnipods would give you 20% cooldown, 20% velocity and 20% LBX Spread.

There are no IS 50 or 55 tonners that can do dual LBXes with jump jets without serious downsides (STD engine, or being forced to an XL engine + low engine size as with the Enforcer 5P.

Going up, you have the Rifleman 8D, Catapult C2, Night Gyr (actually 3x LB10X) and Summoner (with potentially insane LBX velocity quirk if frankenpodded correctly). Rifleman 8D is probably the closest to what you were asking for as far as backup weapons are concerned, though. Catapult K2 can do the weapons but not jump jets.
