I was playing up until 7:40 am EST on September 20 when game could not load mech data and gave Error Code 64. When sent back to lobby home screen, game just kept trying to load then eventually failed to connect. I tried several times to reload game by exiting and attempting to log back in to no avail. This all mind you via Steam. There is supposed to be an update today but not until much later 1pm EST. So did servers crash or did maintenance/update start early?

Probably neither. Routing can get iffy these days. The most likely explanation is that the connection route changed while you were playing. Should resolve on itself after a while. You can also try a different DNS service.

I do think it was a crash. Was waiting to enter a match and over half the players on both sides read as "connecting". Then I got a DC and when able to log in again had received the time-out penalty for leaving a match.

Yesterday into the morning hours of today a large chunk of spectrum internet users had connection issues. Game was unplayable due to severe lag for me and streaming videos were timing out.
