I am losing a lot more than the 50% that even random chance should net me.
Its enough to make me want to quit. Its punishing to have to play 12 games to get 4 wins. its demoralizing. Its unfun. I used to love this game win or lose.
I guess I'm just bad an I'll be chased off by toxic forum members and fair enough I guess I, like everyone else will just quit.

You'll eventually go down a tier and start facing easier opponents.
4/12 however is small enough of a sample it could also just be random chance.

Esentially, you have got two choices:
a) do what you are doing and wait until you move to a lower Tier. Statistically, you will get easier opponents to play against, albeit not in every single game.
b) you can try to adjust your loadouts, switch to different 'Mechs and/or adjust your tactics.
Also, are you sure with that 4:8 ratio? It could be just a case of confirmation bias. If you expect every game to be a loss, you are going to remember your losses stronger.
You could try to make a screenshot after each game and analyze your victories and losses after your gaming session's end: How many wins and defeats you actually had. How many enemy 'Mechs you killed in your good games and why. When you had a good game, what you did right (the way of engaging the enemy team, your loadout, staying with the team, etc.).

Yeah, that's kind of a small sample set. over time you should average out to 50/50 unless you're really great or really not, and even then it'll be like 55/45.
As for a losing streak, I find that a mirror is helpful. When I lose a lot, I was the only thing all those games had in common. Is it my choice of tactics, my battlefield awareness, my load out? Could be lots of things, but asking "what can I do differently" is always worth looking at.

Your stats say otherwise. Probably just an loosing streak that is quite stuck in your head.

Personal record: lost 18 matches in a row.
Statistic deviation: lost 4 x 14 in a row, thought it is hard coded in MM

That's impressive... in a sad sort of way. I don't think I've had a losing streak longer than 7. Condolences.

Sometimes it is a good idea to wait one or two hours. You know, so you will get a new set of active players, new premades will enter the queue, etc.
