i mean i like where they were going but they cant even keep their meshes manifold. you got those greebles on the new vitric map that are clearly and noticeably separated from their base layer and it just looks ugly. they probibly cut and paste that from manifold or vitric forge and didnt really check the edges. i always found it faster to create new geometry than to re-use something that already exists. it seems like a shortcut but you pay for it in the long term with all the revisions you need to do to clean up the uglies.

Unfortunately unless we get some sort of massive influx of new players all dropping loads of cash reusing existing assets is about the best we will get as its far cheaper and easier to make a new map that way. Might not be the best visually but I think he did a good enough job on the new maps he made. Yeah they need some tweaking but when you are on a shoestring budget eh what can you do? At least they seem willing to clean up the maps as per this last patch though the terra 'fix' is questionable at best. I'm just happy there is at least some measure of development even if its maintenance still going on.

Well mwo was never really a high population game even during its peak. We still have more active users than many other much newer shooters and that seems to have more or less stabilized now with new blood being just about enough to keep pop up over old blood moving on. As long as they keep at least a trickle of new content coming I can see mwo rolling on for at least another five or so years.

First of, they had to make the "gFX" thing more like https://www.playhawken.com/. More Crisp but they were so hyped about motion blur (in an 100 Ton ATLAS at 50 kmh .... REALLY ?!?! ) than in a Raven running 120 km/h (without a scratch, running in a bulk of Rocks - forget about first days, they got ride of realistic).

Then, they started MW5, another crap thing, you need to look at Battletech (steam) and compare, older, not optimized and still far better than MW5, so another bad decision without ROI!

And the Maps, I only mention ALPINE. Alone the fact that they put that map nearly out of reach, shows how they look at things, contrary to that the BT and MW need more like those maps, where LR comes in first and then then the SR takes its chances.

They made that full up side down. Remember in BT-TT there were many maps with mountains.

And you do not need any recon or scouting here, because you go Thermal and you see all, why need scouts! So why even bother with trees ...

And then the Mech-Perks: A Marauder has a 50% Missile Cooldown, with only 1 LRM but the SPECIALIZED MARAUDER WITH 9 Missile-Slots has not Missile-Perks !!!
WHAT !!!!!???????

Taking the concept of Fallout and perverting it: You get sniper Rifle Perk but you Mech has only 1 Slot in the head !!! Sure, fully logical...

Anyways there are some new Mech-games coming anyways, though I voted for Labro of Love on Steam, compared to "Star Conflict" they have not even did 10% on overall game develpment.

Heck, they could have even asked for 5€ monthly and bring content ...

So I feel dead end is near for me, only on when friends would like...

The moment something like "infinity Battlescape" gets aviable, I am out here!
