Can we ever get a bigger ship? Like a drop ship, or just have to buy more leopards in order to have more ready mechs? It's always bothered me that the small leopard could have 12 fully primed and ready battlemechs, Yet alone even more in its tiny hull. And the infinite cold storage limit makes it even more silly.

It would be so much more immersive if what you can have is limited until you bought another leopard to "Add" to the mercenary company fleet, giving you another round of mechbays to work with. That way there is an actual sense of progression beyond just your mech collection and it will make it look like your company is actually "growing", both figuratively and literally.
Or even instead you could upgrade to a dropship then youll be able to support the ful amount you can now plus however many is being added to update 4, and it will at least make so much more sense.

I was always partial to the idea of getting different dropships as you progress through the game, all the way up to the Union Dropship..

That is the only way of explainig having so many mechs on disposal..
