How Do I Put More Rockets In My Mech?

I put some "Rocket Launcher 20" weapons on a mech and I don't think I can add any extra ammo to it. Was this intended by the developers? Because all of my ammo runs out after 1 click and I'm mostly useless for the rest of the battle...

Rocket launchers are one salvo weapons.
What you want are SRMs (shoirt range missiles) or MRMs (medium range missiles).

Yes, that is how rockets work in this game. That's why they deal high damage but cost low tonnage. They're generally not used.
