Just a thought...
In my younger days while playing Battletech (Kesmai) on AOL, some rooms would be set up to only use one of the mech weight classes. For example, the room would be an 8v8 (12v12?) with both sides only using light mechs. Makes for a wild and fast style of game play, or the other end being all assault mechs, slower paced but massive hits.
So the question is could something like this be done? Maybe as a special event like 8v8 was...
Curious as to the possibilities.

PGI does that during event queues sometimes.

I can't stand light mechs in normal gameplay.
you just want light machines. luckily there isn't.

Light 'Mechs can be surprisingly fun to use.

The last weekend I had a great game on Vitric Station:
... and earned some nice C-Bills.
For me, light 'Mechs offer a lot of fun.
Naturally, it is absolutely okay that you feel more comfortable in heavy and assault 'Mechs.
So, if you do not like light 'Mechs, do not force yourself into playing them.

My reflexes are not that fast.
I score twice as much in big mechs.
But I'm aware that the majority is currently using light mechs.
