I was just messing around with an Urbanmech Street Cleaner in the Mechlab and noticed that when I remove the engine, the current weight goes up and the armor amount goes down! Heck, you lose ALL the armor on the back when you remove the engine!
What the heck is going on here? Usually when you remove the engine, the weight drops because you've lost weight. It shouldn't go up.

IIRC because of some weirdness in translating the TT rules to MWO the stock Urbanmech has a special STD 60 engine that reduces weight at the cost of only going 32 kph

I forget exactly how it works, but yeah - the formula has something to do with the fact that in TT you have to account for the weight of each of the 'Mech's fixed components as well - cockpit, life support, gyro, the engine-integrated heat sinks, all that jazz. It was easier for Piranha to get all that right by doing some bundling with the engine, but the way they did it meant that engines below 100-rated went weight-negative. The UrbanBro is the only 'Mech allowed a weight-negative engine, because UrbanMemes; that STD60 can only be equipped to the UrbanBro. Which is a damned good thing, because otherwise we'd be seeing Annihilators with STD60s moving eight whole KPH so they could cram a ninth autocannon into the damn thing.

If I had known this about the mech beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it. I can't stand going below 100kph, imagine how I felt going 32kph!!

fortunately all the good Urbie builds massively upgrade the engine. some good builds for the SC on grimmechs, all comfortably above 100 kph
