I've intentionally shot many teammates. These are teammates that have made a game of screwing with their own team. two common methods I've seen for ruining the game of your teammates are:

1. the teammate will run ahead of you in a faster mech, then stop. Once you go around them, they will repeat this... over and over again.

2. the teammate will stand immediately behind you, when you are corner peeking. Getting you killed by the red team when you are unable to return to cover. I watched a guy do this to three separate people on a team before we all team killed him. Guy wasn't even shooting at the red team, just running around messing with the blue mechs.

Sometimes team players can really get on one's nerves. I completely understand you. I myself have had many moments where I almost had a fit of rage, but I try to stay calm. That's why I want a solo game mode in this game. If I make a mistake, it's my mistake. If I succeed, it's my success. I have no complaints about good players or well-intentioned people, but sometimes it feels like one is going crazy.

That second one is aiding the other team pure and simple.

Although it does play differently, and you don't share 'mechs between the games, MW5 has matured into a pretty good single-player Mechwarrior game.

I see some players don't aim well, but I think they might be using a joystick. I'm not blaming them though.

Keep in mind that their ping and network latency to the server is different than yours and what you see while spectating might not match what they see nor how HSR is compensating ("Host state rewind", or lag compensation). See: https://mwomercs.com...rewind-phase-1/

Okay, if this is true, then there's no point in watching players. If we can't evaluate based on seeing the performances of other players, then what are we going to evaluate them on?

Especially since HSR does not propagate through spectation. I forgot about that in my responses, and it's a very good point.

Well, you view their actions with charity. You CAN still see what they're doing tactically, you just have to evaluate their marksmanship based on what happens to the enemy, since you'll still see him take damage even if your spectation shows a miss - provided your host actually does hit him. =)

Well, it should be close enough. We're talking total latency differences of less than half a second in most cases. You can see the tactics and builds and all that. Just, shooting at someone might look like he hit their CT instead of ST but the damage on the paper dolls is going to be server-authoritative.

I use my trusty G502 Hero from Logitech. Nothing else has the buttons it does, although I'd like a wider/larger mouse. However, mouse sensitivity isn't going to affect HSR through spectation...

DPI is not important in my opinion, but the sensor is important.

Pushing before an engaged Assault Mech to secure a possible backshotkill? Spatial awareness is as sparse as are mechlab skills in the lower tiers. Nothing new here.
