i thought i would make my own post on this because most of the new arguments in the one that is active are so far back most people won't read them. while i never did much multiplayer in MW4, i do have a couple ideas that i think would solve majority of the problems. for LRM or thunderbolt snipers. make them not have a hard lock unless the person is hit with a narc beacon. even then if they somehow manage to dodge the missles they are not gonna do a u-turn and hit it. do a soft lock. if they take a step to the left the missles will still home. but if they are moving across your screen your going to have to lead them a bit. that should make them a lot less effective. and it also provides even more usefulness for scouts like the raven who have narc beacons. for people who gauss snipe or other long range high damage long reload weapons make your aim significantly less accurate or wobbly because of all the excess force on the mechs. if you have arm mounted weapons for example it should throw your aim down when they jump and make it harder to bring the cursor up because of the acceleration on the arms.
if you guys have any other suggestions please post them.

Yeah, the mods will love you for this new thread. Bottom line is there nothing wrong with jump sniping as long as its not done in 3rd person and no perma radar lock. End of topic.

Yep, I agree with SilentWolff as well, nothing wrong with jumpsniping/poptarting/whatever, if you liked what became of MW4 multiplayer, If you didn't though...
Although I have to say I'm not worried that much about LRMs, dal10. Considering we'll have IS and not Clan LRMs, that means they'll have some distinct disadvantages (minimum range i.e.) that will keep them balanced somewhat. Also, with AMS rediscovered in 3040 in the IS, you have an option to mitigate missile damage some. As opposed to Gauss, ERPPC and their ilk... Which also don't have the inhherent disadvantage of lock time needed. LRMs seem somewhat better balanced in that aspect.
