My mindset is literally walk forward at 48kph in the fafnir and shoot mechs till they die, with nose wiggling/45 degree angle forward/back motion to spread damage. Not all that hard to do, and the new hitboxes have allowed me to tank far more damage and survive far longer than it used to.

If it wasn't already obvious, no matter what you say, they wont see it as legitimate. You are actually good at the game, so to them you're no better than a cheater.

Tier shouldn't be visible at all. Its not a reward its a matchmaking parameter. Its no use to you or me.

To be fair you should all be taking it all with some grain of salt
Teir means nothing to ability if people really want to see how a person is doing Jarl is a nice source but i am noticing its flaws, i would suggest using the ingame leaderboard if people want to flaunt how great they are against each other opposed to looking at teir
(bet most of you LRM boated your way up to teir 1 shameless )

The leaderboard is full of smurf accounts sealclubing in T5, not really accurate. Jarl's is much more reliable, especialy because we can see the pilots history.

true but i have to point out though our #1 on Jarl list is some person whom only played around 300 and has game'd the system (knowingly or not) compaired to someone who has played 23000 by playing around 10-20 games a season and thx to jarls rankings Lights getting a 1.11 so yea add a Grain of salt

i also forgot to add to last post "use both sources" (jarl long term/leaderboard short term)

There are problems in the fine details of both Jarls and the Leaderboard. But there isn't if you're just trying to generally tell if somebody is getting anything done in the game. It can be useful to know what tier and ability level people have when trying to understand where they are coming from. Knowing roughly what 10th of the pop they fall into is useful. No need to worry about exactly what %.

to be fair: not even that; once you drop with a few of them, you'll get to know ~most~ as pretty decent fellows; it's a handfull (or two) who stick out negatively.
the rest is in 'for the fun' like you and me (or more like you, since I don't really play anymore^^).
