There should be a node in the skill tree, that enables the AMS to target any missiles more consistently, and not just those coming from above (indirect fire). But also those coming directly (direct fire) at one's mech.

AMS already does exactly that.

It "kinda " does, I have seen it does fire at direct incoming missiles but it's very sporadic, like some kind of bug, it should be more consistent.
