  • Reduced SRM, MRM, LBX velocity to 25% (from 50%)
  • Reduced Missile cooldown to -25% (from -30%)
  • Reduced LBX cooldown to -25% (from -30%)
  • Added 85% Spread for LB-2X-AC
  • Added 35% Spread for LB-5X-AC
  • Added 15% Spread for MRM20 and MRM10
So.. with how other mech changes are made example follows... -20% Cooldown
  • Added -20% Cooldown in SO8
So back to the Scattershot....
Added 85%/35%/15%..... are those the legit patch notes? Is the spread increasing? Or is that supposed to be a negative value? Because I'm stupid, and it looks like it's going from current base 100% to 185% and that's just crazy!

They wont just put a general cooldown to it because they want it to be restricted to LBX instead of all ballistics.

Spread seems to be increasing and the LB2 value is quite high. They seem to want to make it brawler mostly which kinda makes sense, such high CD quirks need something to balance them. Well see in game how bad it is.

They've barely had the thing out, and already changing it. That's just a mistake, they're reducing the cooldown, maybe if they're nerfing it so hard on spread, they should increase the cooldown closer to the hunchback 4G? I think that's the one. They're even adding to the spread of MRM's that is just insulting. We'll see how bad it is, correct, but then even if people dislike it, they just won't care... I've been on the discord for the Cauldron, they know everything, and the plebs need to step in line. I rarely post there, I just read.. and it's kinda weird, more people should check it out.

They didn't really changed it, they just adjusted it while keeping the same flavor (Scattershot = fast cooldown + giga spread).
About the MRMs, on the contrary, imho it's the weapon that should suffer the highest spread nerf, since it's the weapon that takes the most advantage of the JJ-no-shake quirk (that was added for some weird reasons).

not really sure if the outlier quirks are really working out for the legendary mechs. especially since a lot of these are also hardpoint inflated. the latest two one has a +1 medium laser hsl and the other is a consumable boat like the dreadnought. quirks are either meme or irrelevant in most cases. moonwalker walks backward fast and the juggernaut is better off dumping the machine guns to become an inner sphere ultraviolet. the scattershot on the other hand directly buffed its weapons, ones it can actually use effectively. thats why its being singled out.

so far all the mechs have been really strong. at lest 2 are in my top 5. from the way they performed they are definitely in p2w territory. the next two are primarily vomit mechs, and those are going to be beastly even with their lame outlier quirks.

@OP

from every vid I've seen, that thing is OP as f*ck right now (or let's say: objectively, it performs really, really well).
consequently, you should be GLAD they adress it so quickly, WITHOUT nerfing it to the ground and back again.

don't see where the problem is right here.

Do we have another eg7 stock holder here? Thats another fine pitch.

If you thought you were gunna keep a powercreep'd mech for more than a few months, think again :)

Well all of you enjoy that crap. I'm not on the kool-aid wagon. I've been opposed to other stuff, see some of the same names from other places on the forum. Be well!

Everyone should know by now not to buy a mech thinking it is going to be overpowered.

Having faced the Scattershot several times I was not overwhelmed by it's performance. The no shake JJ thing, do JJ not throw off your aim, like could I put AC5s on it and do poptart pinpoint??

Yes you could, but it wouldn't be very good with AC5's.

I don't fully understand why a mech who's entire thing is bad accuracy got a no-shake quirk. I've seen people claim it was an accident but also that it's good and won't be removed (as it does not appear to be in the patch notes for tomorrow) and so I'm sitting here kinda going ???

The claim is/was that the person who gave it the no-shake-jj isn't the same as the team that come up with the quirks, and the quirks were designed with it NOT having no-shake-jj.

The purpose of JJ shake is to ruin accuracy specifically to combat poptarting. Since the quirks spread all the weapons it shoots with, no need to have it.
