I'm imagining for MW6 a few mechs will be redesigned so mech sizes are more consistent with each other.

That being said, I am assuming some old builds and designs will be tossed out in favor of updated designs. To that end, why not keep the old designs as well?

Roll them in and mix with lore, bake for 45 minutes and let cool for 10 minutes.

Such designs could exist as older designs from pre-2900/3000/3050/etc as "archaic" and out-dated designs that still see use due to the numbers built from way back when while also allowing for newer streamlined mechs that don't look like walking 30 poly boxes on legs (by comparison). This also gives more plausible cause for a certain level of hardpoint bloat and non-lore builds that only make sense in TT.
