How is it the 13th of June and we still don't have a free mech event? I was away for a few years, is this normal?

I was away for a lot more years, and getting a free mech at all outside the holidays seem extremely generous.

Its not typical but also not unusual. Its often gone up halfway through the month. If we don't have it by the end of the week, then it'll be odd.

Thing is deadlines slide. The free mech of the month event started about 1 week in and sometimes missed the window and it seems to have slid to 2 weeks in.

The issue with things running this late is PGI needs the July mech out on the 1st to catch the 4th of July weekend. That means either the June event now has to run short, or they'll be running 2 free mech events at once, nether of which is good.

LOL no one cares if you've played for more than the OP and PGI isn't going to love you more for polishing their knob. The OP is simply pointing out that something is out of the ordinary.

Well you don't need much time to finish the event as long as you play your best mechs and don't piss around experimenting. Two weeks would be more than enough especially if they use one of the easier events templates.

Pick a mech you do well in and play it four matches a day however you want. All at once or bit by bit as a break. You will easily finish the 10k match score or damage events in under two weeks. Or you can be a NEET and grind it out in a single multi hours long session.

That speculation of the "Blood Asp 'Rancor' BAS-RA Hero" happens to have been mine, made after someone else was taking note of the "Blood Asp" Mech as done in an image there... Here's a link to my posting... Given they've run a pair of events already this month, each of which came with a mechbay, MC, and piles of C-bills, it's not like we're hurting. But it does make me wonder if they're building up to something.

All they had to do is say sorry there is no free mech this month. I'm sure most would be ok with one missing every now and then.

i think they're waiting for after the last day the free Gargoyle is redeemable, so maybe in around 3 days' time?

Yeah but id probably hazard a guess and more than half the people don't play faction, so those 2 events are washes

This is only speculation... Perhaps those working on MWO Events within PGI's halls have become so overloaded that they could not give June anything? So maybe they will create a combined Event for the June & July months with a whole bunch of good Pick-A-Prize items for everyone to enjoy? Who knows!?!
