Don't be dramatic, it was just a server problem...

What do people use Grimmechs for? The site looks incredibly out of date.

meta is a rapidly moving target. best grim mechs could do is give a snapshot of previously effective meta. at the very least it does point you in the right direction, such as what variants are preferable.

i have never even looked at it so i wouldn't know. people should make up their own minds on builds and not just use some cookie cutter meta nonsense.

Check the build database, there's plenty available. One should use their judgement about the present state of the queue versus what builds to run. In general, Grimmechs has been the best source of 'Mech builds for MWO since it came online. Nowhere else even comes close. Case in point - that Mechspecs site presently has a thread top of GD seriously asking if Gauss crits through armour.

Mechspecs is not the same, it's a forum open to everyone, so the proposed builds are all over the place, some are good and some are real potato. On the other hand, Grimmechs features a builds selection curated by few competitive players.
(the predecessor of GM would be the late Metamechs)
