Trial mechs are too weak without the skills and consumables on them. New players will be using these trial mechs. It will give them a bad experience with the game and they will leave. New players are already at a handicap for being low skilled and when they use the trial mechs on top of that they stand no chance. It became obvious how bad trial mechs are when I was using them for the event that uses them. Trial mech skills should be unchangeable but fully assigned with all 91 skill points in a way that makes sense for the mech. The builds on the trial mechs aren't completely terrible but they are obviously weaker without the skills and consumables and I don't know if that was intended.

They should have consumables on them too for the same reasons. The mech with the coolshot on it will have a significant advantage especially in a 1v1 or desperate situation because it can do more damage before shutting down. UAVs help you get positioning on the enemies, and positioning is everything in this game. Air strikes and artillery are just bonus damage that new players won't be getting. My point is that consumables matter and it puts new players using the trial mechs at an even further disadvantage.

Some may say that the trial mechs are supposed to be bad to incentivize players to buy real ones, but there is already plenty of incentive because you can't customize the trial mechs in any way and they likely aren't what you want to use. There isn't enough selection of trial mechs anyway so you will still want real mechs when you get tired of the trial ones. You will find something you want to change about trial mechs and you can do it when you buy a real one. You can already buy mechs without using real money or MC so they won't be missing out on sales by adding skills and consumable to trial mechs.
