Some builds i use some are what you would expect others not so much hope it helps you in the future

-Locust-

LCT-1E / +(C)
Really simple Focusing on two extremes
LCT-1E Medium
Long range but hot
LCT-1E Small
Cold but Short range

LCT-1M
My Favorite build
LCT-1M MRM

LCT-3M
A focus on AMS support with 4 x Mediums to back it up can be tinkered with 5 Mediums at the cost of ams ammo
LCT-3M Support

LCT-1V
a build focused on shredding internal modules it can dish it out but rather limited thanks to limited ammo capacitys
LCT-1V

LCT-3V
My light mech hunter carries enough to knock out or send a light running
LCT-3V

-Spider-
SDR-A
Support Mech designed with mobility/versatlity in mind
SDR-A


It not the only mech builds i have just showing ones i think will have a good impact PIR/FLEA's are quite plain

Doesn't help me at all ther are no clan mechs listed...

You're not losing much, most are quite bad.

The only I would agree with are the LCT-1E, at the condition of trading the useless BAP for a Tcomp.

I prefer the -1V with a LPL, that cool down quirk + skill tree makes for lots of damage output at a decent range to reduce return fire.

you can completely go that route ER-LL is also viable thx to the beam duration earlier versions i had ER-LL(roughly 950ish range) with x4 L-MG's (1 Ton ammo)

I've used the 1V with LPL - and with LPPC and LMGs. Nothing quite murders larger 'mechs like the MPL/HMG combo I'm using now.

i thought about MPL but i got this habit of syncing ranges close to each other if you are in range of my SPL your in range of my HMG's

That's true, and I tried that. The problem is that the MPL does more damage - and the extra range lets you poke people in situations where you can't fully engage. Plus you're never going to be able to kill a UAV with an SPL; sometimes you're in a position where everyone else who can needs to put fire downrange.

I've been having fun with this. Plenty of range and good sustainable dps.

Nice high mounts for the lppc so you can poptart and the lmg with rof bonus are basically a rac2 with 450m optimal and no drawbacks.

That Javelin can be tons of fun. Only 612 damage on the LMGs, though, so if you find yourself running dry too soon, you can swap a Jump Jet out for more ammo.

Ammo nodes push it to around 800ish and I've yet to run dry. Most of my play is abusing the range on the lppc and saving the lmg for later when stuff is beat up and open.

You can do it that way, and if you're mostly using the LPPC, and focusing on long range, I'm sure it's sufficient.
On the other hand, I'm basing my ammunition consumption off of This,and This, both of which try to engage within the optimal range of all weapons, so my ammo requirements are probably different.

I came up with a similar build for the Locust 1M. Mine doesnt have lasers and it uses double heat sinks instead of singles. I will have to give your build a try!

I currently have the laser swapped out for an Xpulse, I think.
