One thing to note about the howl - it has a minimum engine rating requirement of 350. The game wont let you fit an engine lower than this (unless its a bug!).

2 jets are quite sufficient, and the temperature is fine; I didn't look into the details.

4 ERPPC, 4 jets, and an additional 2 coolers can be used, but I didn't find it stable. Light PPCs are better.

In close-range engagements, a structure can be built with 2 ballistic slots

I'm guessing they went that route for balance reasons. It could be challenging to balance quirks if you can swap omnipods willy nilly. Plus, it locks it into a specific identity for the "Legendary mech" concept since you can't change the hardpoints. I personally don't care about the lore arguments against it but I saw some passionate discussion in the patch thread. MWO, like all Battletech video games, interpret lore a little loosely for the sake of game mechanics and balancing and just some creative liberties. I don't have an issue with that.

i logged in and got my 300 redeems from the previous six legendaries. later i bought the new legendaries on steam, redeemed them, but i havent got redeems for those yet. a few hours later and they still haven't shown up. glitch?

i kind of like it. is quirked for atms, but you could cram four ballistics into the thing. other timbies are bad with ballistics for their lack of pod space and being able to downgrade the engine to make tonnage is nice. shoulder ballistics pods would have been nice but you cant have everything.

or hell forbid if they put out an omni with a different engine than the other variants. maybe they can do a blackhawk-ku to test is omnis. still want to see a light legendary mech, since there are no more lights to buy.

just because i like **** does not mean that i support the pride movement or the woke left. me liking **** is not a political issue and if i was going to fly a flag, it would have a giant **** on it.

It is more of a purr than a growl and get lost among all the other battle noises.
