Hey all,

For some reason several months ago when there were some sound issues in the game, bitching betty became pretty much useless to me. She used to be reasonably good at telling me when I was overheating or running low on magic jump jet juice...but now her warnings either don't happen at all, or are so delayed that they are completely useless.

Is there a way to have Betty speak up sooner, so I get my heat warning from her before I explode, like I used to get?

There's a few sound mods around. Most of them redo all the weapon sounds and betty. I use to have a meme betty with such things as: "Lrm spamer is after you,take cover idiot." "Oh no an enemy! Run Away!" my favorite was "You missed. Try aiming."

You can try nexus but it mostly has mw5 mods.

Sound mods are the only way. There aren't a lot in general and there are only a few for BB. There are versions that sound like the older games, meme ones, and I may or may not have made one using an AI voice synthesizer to sound like Legion from Mass effect. Just about all of them are on Nexus.

sounds more like you are experiencing some kind of bug. i haven't noticed any real change so who knows. it might be worth putting in a bug report on though.

Okay thanks, I'll check out mods and throw in a bug report in case anyone else is running into this.

Honestly, stuff happen so fast betty can't keep up, I made it a habit to ignore her and pay more attention to visual cues...wish I could turn her off or change her to beeps sounds and alarms like in modern military jets.
