lol doesn't resemble communism at all, if any stupid comparison could be drawn, it'd be to free market values i.e ebbs and flows based on surrounding variables, with ultimate decisions resting in an "elite few"
balance should work like this: a weapon is too strong, it is weakened, if it is too strong it should be nerfed
the near constant balance patches which affect everything from movement speed, armor values, hitboxes, so on and so forth, not to mention new mech variants introduced... as incremental as the changes may be, it makes any true assessment a dubious undertaking without testing the changes for a much longer period than the current update cycle imo. But good lord, if they didn't do a monthly patch people would lose their crap soo I'll take the updates
I'm not knocking this, I'm glad there's new stuff and content and people who care enough to be testing and enacting changes. But that's the reality of it

Sigh
We used to have this thing which kept the lethality down. It was called "Timed Convergence" and really helped deal with the pinpoint damage problems, snipers, and mech longevity. It also reflected the lore and tabletop too.
Whiners whined and now we have the modern problems

Thank god that's gone. MWO is slow as is, add convergence and you make the game even slower and creep it to a halt. It also punishes skilled players by creating a synthetic delay between their ability to aim and possibility to fire accurately. Its a bad idea.
