Before you start, no, I own the Urbie -- ******* paid 15$ for it, and I am the one who's pwning -- at least damage farming. 700 damage my first drop, barely took damage back too.

Gauss/HAG and UAC20s is impressive from a standpoint of being able to put it in a light mech and be effective and all. That's not something you can do on IS Urbie that is beyond meme status.

But the lighter and stronger clan vomit -- 2x HLL + 2x ERML, and the ability to pack much DHS, is kinda broken. IS Urbie struggle to put effective laser builds.

Shidd man, Clan Urbie is Pay-To-Win.

welcome to legendary mechs. to be fair only about a third of them are good, some are just fun. clan urbie is both, and also very cute.

You can run HAG40 on the Jenner Fury. HAG30, or HAG20 + 3 ERML on the Incubus.
For UAC20 you already have the Cougar and for UAC5s or UAC2 the Adder Cinder.
2 HLL, 2 ERML (and more), you can already do on the Incubus, Kitfox and Cougar.

I don't see how the Urbie IICs are P2W.
They have some nice quirks but they are not bringing something completely unheard of to light mechs.

The armor quirks.

You forgot the armor quirks.

Also the 360-degree.

Barely has any. Adders have more armor and better laservomit builds. 360 rotation is mostly harmful because they can shoot your back even if you turn towards them (and its kinda confusing to use). It has the advantage of smaller profile and JJs though. It's good but nothing new or broken.

Nothing out of the ordinary here:
Bold = more than Urbie IIC
Italic= less than Urbie IIC

Armor:

Urbie IIC: CT 49, ST 34, ARM 34

Adder: CT 59, ST40, ARM 30 -> doesn't need arm armor
Cougar: CT 59, ST 44, ARM 34
Jenner: CT 62, ST46, ARM 29
Incubus: CT 50, ST 38, ARM 30 -> doesn't need arm armor

360 can be confusing to to use and you can be shot in the back while facing the enemy.

Fair enough.

Though I think the hitboxes also take in play.

eh.. and how is 700dmg for an urbie broken when you can double that with (almost) any assault ?
if there IS a problem, it's not a lightmech doing a bit of dmg..

compare it to top performing mechs, and don't do it though the "a lightmech shouldn't do that"-lense, since it's BS is the first place. only certain comp-people who sabotage factionplay by not entering gates AT ALL and farm from the dropzone do that.. Posted Image

utter this if we're at a point where the urbie outperforms a BASP, Anni or a dire .. Posted Image

Urbie IIC is nothing special with lasvomit, almost zero quirks in it support that.

Have you tried inc-1, yep it doesn't have JJ but other than that... pretty damn good.

These would have been some decent general purpose clan urbies if the quirks had not been specialized for one type of build. Guess now that we have legendary clan urbies its time for a clan urbie cbill line and an mc hero with ecm.

How else do you expect them to sell a light? It was the only light left they could have used to make a profit and that is all pgi cares about to channel the funds into mw 5 dlcs and mw5 clan version. There are no IS lights they could have used.

i took the uac20 off that one urbie and put a pair of uac5s. you dont get much armor but it was good enough for 4v4 last night. that solaris test map is kind of campy. of course clan has a lot of lights that can run dual uac5s, that's how i run my fury. in the sphere you are hard pressed to get a couple ac2s on a light with the exception of the urbie (and an osiris), and you pay for that with speed, the clan mechs can still do 80.

its a good case for lac, or at least a 5-ton lb2 or a 7-ton lb5. you end up using a uac2, because a single ac2 is useless and you cant afford an ac5. moar non-mg ballistic lights.

what would make it different? you can already run an lb20 or hgauss on that thing, various vomits, jump jet boats, missiles on the hero. seems there's a variant for everything. i just recently got an x-5 to complete the set.

there are only 2 lore variants of the urbie iic. im not opposed to seeing more, maybe a missile or vomit focused. possibly as a later loyalty or legendary. i dont think we have seen the last of the urbie iic. perhaps package it with a locust iic.

If we get a Urbie IIC quirked for ATM's I would instantly buy it just to have the little menace popping from hills, and smacking heavies and assaults.

Please show 1400 dmg round screenshots or videos with different assaults. I'll wait here.

The new weapons essentially changed everything, and the IIC urbies being quirked as they are helps players specifically lean into the new weapons.

I haven't purchased the Clan urbies, but fighting against them I can tell you I would rather fight any IS urbie instead.

Getting surprise HAG-rayyped from behind by these small, agile, jumpy, tough little monsters is no joke.
