A favourite game of mine in the DOS Era that now and then gets an upated release in the West...
I started with Nobunagas Ambition 2 and battled with a friend for 2 weeks over the supremacy in Japan ending in a Stalemate when our time ran out, me holding the north and east half of Japan and him the south and west.
(If we had more time he would probably have won bcs i tend to keep my military spendings light and win with tactics but a human oponent learns and at some point it becomes a sheer numbers game and i was behind in numbers)

The game has quit changed scince then, some for the better, some for the worse, but its stil the goto game for the Sengoku Period that is up for purchase in the West.

Love Sengoku-period games
I mourn the game about Takeda Shingen got cancelled though...

Great game series and far more in depth and true to life than the total war shogun 2 game even though I love it. Might have to give this one a spin when it goes on deep discount. Always can carve out some time for strategy games even with my 300+ game backlog in my steam library whining to me constantly about never being played.

I feel with you - i have still over 150+ games i have not played through yet...

The predecessor to the current version Sphere of Influence - Ascension may be somewhere available on discount.
I got mine for 10$ back then but Instant Gaming does not have it anymore it seems.

I guess Awakening will not be on discount for some years to come...
